Best Party Games for Stag and Hen Parties
In modern society, hen and stag parties are meant to give the future bride and groom, respectively, the opportunity to enjoy blessed singleness before getting married. Depending on the personality of the person for whom the party was thrown in honor of, it can be as conservative as a semi-formal party or as wild as a rumpus through bars, discos and nightclubs.
But no matter the type of stag or hen party, it will not be complete without the best party games for such occasions. After all, these parties allow adults to indulge in silly fun, all for the sake of celebrating the bride's or the groom's future marriage.
The important point of these games is, of course, to let the bride or the groom and their guests have a good time. So, do consider the personality of the participants, the theme of the party and the venue of the activities before adopting the following recommended games.
For the Hen Party
With a hen party, you can have as many games as possible, both naughty and nice, without the drinking of alcoholic drinks. Now, contrast that with stag parties where alcohol is a staple but that's getting ahead of the topic. The point is that you can have a good time without becoming rip-roaring drunk.
Here are a few examples of best party games for the hen party:
·Make a Wedding Dress Game - Basically, the participants are divided into groups with three people in each group. From among the three, one will stand as the bride while the other two are the couturiers. Give the participants any type of common materials from which to make a wedding dress - rolls of toilet paper, colored garbage bags and even aluminum foil will suffice for the purpose.
·Kiss the Bride - This is a variation of the pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey game. Paste the picture of the bride on the donkey's rear end, place blindfolds on the participants, spin them around and let them kiss the picture of the bride. The winner is the one with her "kiss mark" closest to the bride's lips.
For the Stag Party
As for the stag party, the best man can just adopt many of the drinking games used during parties. At the very least, everybody knows the rules, enjoys the games and drops inhibitions in the process. Plus, you can also purchase the necessary tools to add more fun to the games like dice, pinball and even boards, all of which make for the best party games for the willing groom and his guests.
But for the grooms and best men who want something different, drinking games may take a second seat. Instead, games like "Dance Off" and "Costume Party" are clean fun without the drunken stupor of alcohol. As their names imply, the "Dance Off" contest is simply all the men showing off their dance skills to the most unexpected music while the "Costume Party" game means the participants will have a mini-pageant of costumes. The groom then decides the winner.
What may be the best party games for one bride or groom may not necessarily so for another couple. If you are organizing the stag or hen party, be sure that no sensibilities will be offended, which in itself as good a criterion as any when choosing the party games.
