Birthday Party Games For Teens
There are many ways that birthday party games for teens can go wrong. For one thing, the teenagers may see the games as very childlike and, hence, not worthy of their attention. For another thing, the games themselves can start out good in concept but quickly deteriorate into boring activities. Well, don't let these situations happen in your teenager's party with these game ideas!
Video War
You might just as well accept the fact, at least temporarily, that video games are one of the modern teenager's must-have skills. You can set up video game tournaments of the games of their choice. Or better yet, you should have discussed with your teenager the kind of games he wants to play before the party.
The rules of one of the more attractive birthday party games for teens are fairly simple: Anyone with the most points, or its equivalent, within a set amount of time wins. You should up the ante by truly making it into a tournament complete with elimination rounds and championship plays.
To make it more challenging, you should choose the contestants ahead of time. Then choose the games in which said contestants have never played the game before. Or at least as far as you teenager can tell.
I Will Survive
If you are a fan of the Survivor series on television, you will know how this game works. First, set the tasks that two teams must perform as a team. It can be relay races over an obstacle course, quick card games, acquaintance games, shooting games and trivia games, all of which you have previously set up. Think of it as numerous birthday party games for teens rolled into one fun-filled activity.
Second, divide the participants into two teams. Just make sure that each one has about equal chances at winning by evenly distributing according to height, physique and abilities. Let the participants play one game at a time. It is a good idea to limit the number of games to be played so as to make way for other activities.
At the end of each game, the losing team must vote off one of their teammates. This can be done either by secret balloting or by face-to-face voting, sans the protracted drama of the television show. The team with the most number of players at the end of the pre-determined number of games wins!
You can make many variations of this game to double the thrill of one of the most engaging teenage party games ever. For example, you can assign points for each game for both the winning side and the losing side. Points are deducted for any violations of the individual games whether the persons who committed the violations were on the winning or losing team. The losing team, moreover, still continues to kick out one of their teammates after every game.
At the end of all the games, you will determine who wins by looking at the number of points for each team and the number of participants still remaining in the team. The team with either the highest number of points or the largest number of participants wins.
With these ideas for teenage party games, you are sure to challenge the minds and bodies of the teenagers and make them go back to their childhood days but without compromising their fragile egos too much.
