Games For Kids Birthday Parties

Simple But Fun Games for Kids Birthday Parties

Kids are probably the easiest people in the world to please although they do sometimes say the funniest things when it comes to what makes them happy. In most instances, you can organize a party with their favorite cartoon character as the main theme and they can be as happy as clams.

Now, if you can throw in the "bestest" - as children will have it - games for kids birthday parties, you will become the coolest mom ever for them. Your child will totally agree that you, too, are the "bestest" mom ever. And that is how you are rewarded for your time, effort and money for organizing his party for his neighborhood friends and beloved family members.

Cats Tails Game

For this game, you will only need many yard-long strips of cloth to represent cat tails as props. The strips of cloth should be attached to the back of the pants or skirts, either tucked into the waistband or with Velcro attachments, while the ends are just touching the ground. Of course, the participants must have plenty of energy to play this game although that should not be a problem considering that kids are Energizer bunnies on perpetual charging modes.

The children will run around trying to step on the tails of the other participants. Once a child loses his/her tail, he/she is out of the game. The last one with his/her tail on is the winner.

Sweet Ring Toss Game

This is one of those games for kids birthday parties where everybody can come out a winner. You will need three 6-inch diameter rings made out of either cardboard or wood; candy, novelty toys and other prizes with individual wrappings; table.

You will spread the prizes on the table in random order. The participants will then take turns throwing the three rings so that a prize can be "caught" inside them. Whatever prize is within the ring, the child wins. You can make the game easer or harder by making the children throw the rings closer or farther away from the table.

Needle in a Hay Stack

If you live in or near a farm, you can make the kids look for prizes inside a haystack. First, you have to prepare the prizes in individual containers with dollar coins throw in for good measure. Then, you will place a tarp on the floor, pile up a good amount of hay in the middle and then hide the prizes within the mound.

You may give the younger children a head start in the game while instructing the older children to be careful with the young ones. You may want to have prizes at the ready just in case there are children who were unable to get prizes. Keep in mind that when it comes to games for kids birthday parties, everybody should be a winner so that everybody gets to go home happy and pleased with his/her spoils.

In the end, it is not about the competition of the games but the enjoyment, fun and camaraderie that the kids have during the games. Just as long as the kids are happy, then even the most competitive of parents should be, too. After all, it is a kid's birthday party.
