Girls Birthday Party Games
Two Things to Consider for Girls Birthday Party Games
Girls have very different needs from boys when it comes to parties. This is true despite the fact that gender differentiation is not as strong and as distinct as expected for their adult counterparts. There are two important considerations when considering the type of girls birthday party games to be conducted during the party itself - safety and modesty.
Safety
Safety is a very important factor in all types of games where children and teens, even adults, are involved. After all, the purpose of party games is to allow everybody to participate and enjoy the various activities, not land in the clinic or hospital for injuries. In the end, games are made for enjoyment, not torture.
To ensure safety amongst all the girls, you can adopt measures like the following:
·Use life vests when playing pool games and only do so in water depths up to the mid-chest.
·Make the rules clear especially about pushing and pulling on land as well as dunking and jumping on water.
·Utilize props with blunt edges, soft materials and non-toxic substances, when and where necessary
·Check the area for any sharp objects on the ground and on the walls, which should be removed out of the children's path during the games
The general rule when it comes to the safety of girls birthday party games are to look after the welfare of the participants in the same way that you would after your own daughter's well-being.
Modesty
Next on the list is the protection of the girls' modesty. This does not necessarily mean that you have to make them dress up in nun's habits, far from it. Basically, you want to respect their privacy in terms of how much of their bodies they want to expose to the general public. Obviously, you want to avoid games where stripping of clothes is required, where skimpy bikinis are de rigueur and where any part of their developing bodies are exposed to undue censure. Keep in mind that the girls' psyche may not withstand such abuse, no matter how unintentional it may have been.
When these two important criteria have been established, you can then move on into preparing the props for the girls' birthday party games. In this instance, the major consideration is the enjoyment of the participants.
Now, if your birthday celebrant and her guests are the girly-girl types, we recommend the following girls party games:
·Nail Polish Spin Game - This is similar to Truth-or-Dare except that a nail polish bottle is used instead of a soda bottle. The person to whom the top of the nail polish bottle points to should paint one finger or one toe with that color. Then another color is placed in the center and the game begins again. Soon, the participants will have different colors painted on their nails.
·Foil or Tissue Makeover - Use either aluminum kitchen foil or kitchen paper towel to allow the girls to dress up their "models" in the latest styles. The painted nails are good accessories for the dresses.
In conclusion, girls' birthday party games are very fun to organize. Your daughter will love it that you are looking after their welfare but still allowing them their own girly fun.
