Kid Party Games

Themed Kid Party Games to Delight the Young and Young Once

In many children's birthday parties, it cannot be helped that adults come with the kids for many reasons. Well, it is an opportunity to conduct kid party games that the young and the young once in the group will enjoy. You can either make the adults join in or just become spectators and let the memories of similar games take them back into their own childhood.

Traffic Light Game

This is one game where the adage of the more, the merrier definitely applies! You will also discover that it develops the kids' attentiveness, which can be difficult in other activities.

You must select the player who will play the Traffic Light while the other children play the Cars. The Traffic light will stand in front of the Cars, who are lined up shoulder to shoulder.

The rules of the game is that the Traffic Light spins to show his back to the lined-up Cars and shouts "Green light", at which point the Cars will then run to touch the Traffic Light first. However, when the Traffic Light turns to face the Cars as they are moving forward and shouts "Red light", the Cars should immediately stop. A Car still moving after the signal is made is deemed out of the game.

Also, the Car that touches the Traffic Light first becomes the next Traffic Light for the next round. The game ends when only the Traffic Light and one Car are left on the road, so to speak.

The Traffic Light game is suitable as one of the kids birthday party games in a traffic-themed birthday bash.

Treasure Hunt, Me Pirate

Now, if the theme for the party is the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, then it is obvious that a treasure hunt should be in the works. Plus, you need not worry about the prizes as the treasures found during the hunt can be the prizes!

You need to pack in loot bags kids' goodies like chocolate gold coins, sweet treats in skull and bones design, and pirate toys, to name few. Then, place these loot bags into a homemade treasure chest - just take a big carton box, paint it or cover it with paper, and then decorate to resemble said pirate chest.

Now, you have to make a map showing clues where to find the treasure chest. You should then produce copies of the map, one for each child with a loot bag. You can even burn the edges of the map to simulate an old pirate map.

When it is time to play pirate party games, you can then provide each child with his map and let them go find their treasure. It is a good idea to have an adult staying near the vicinity of the treasure chest to hand out the loot bags as the children come along, which will prevent fighting over who gets what loot bag.

This is probably one of the most cost-effective kid party games. You have a way to provide enjoyment to the children via a pirate-related game as well as provide them with party favors. Thus, you may want to do this game at the end of the party, just before going home time.

With these games, your themed party will be remembered by kids and parents for many years to come.
