Kids Birthday Party Games
Kids Birthday Party Games To Complete the Special Day
Children's birthday parties and games are twins. Your child's special day will, indeed, be incomplete without the requisite kids birthday party games. These games can be as simple as pinning the tail on the donkey or as complicated as complicated as scavenger hunts all over town, depending on the age of the children invited to the party.
With these games, however, everybody can participate and have fun. And that is what is most important when it comes to birthdays in your childhood.
Scavenger Hunts
This is, of course, one of the most popular games in any kind of party although it does take a proper amount of planning to successfully pull off. You can make many variations of scavenger hunts depending on the age of the participants, the area available, and the equipment necessary.
You will need to list down the items that you want the children to find and then hide them all over the place. You can divide them into groups of 3 players each, hand them the list of things to find and set them on their way. You should also set a time limit on the game so that you will still have time for the other kids party games.
The group with the most items found on the list wins. You can give out additional prizes in addition to the toys and thingamajigs that they have found during the scavenger hunt.
There are variations to the scavenger hunt game that you can apply as the children grow up and yet they still want to play the game. For teen scavenger hunt ideas, you can let them use either a video camera or a Polaroid camera to document the things they are doing in accordance with your to-do list, instead of a to-find list.
Pick It All Up Game
Remember how children just never seem to pick up their toys off the floor and into their toy boxes? Well, why not teach them the value of picking up after themselves with kids' birthday party games?
First, find two large boxes and other odds and ends around the house. These can be empty plastic soda bottles, aluminum cans, pillow cases, hangers, spoons, plastic glasses and toys. Just make sure that these items are safe to handle especially when on a child's arms and hands as well as ensuring that you have two of each kind. Set these boxes on the starting line.
Second, divide the group into equal teams and position them on the opposite end of the starting line. Arrange the kids from the littlest to the biggest, with the former at the head of the line.
Third, make the first child on the line get an item on the box and run back to the second player to give him that item. The second child will run to the box and get another all while holding on to the first item and so on and so forth until the last and biggest child has all the items on hand and then places them all back into the box. The first team who accomplishes the job is the winner.
With these kids birthday party games, you can indeed teach children a lesson in following instructions and picking up after themselves. What joy to parents that will be!
