One Minute Party Games for the Harried HostLet's face it. Being a party host can both be a fun activity and an exercise in frustration. On one hand, you will have a fun time organizing the party games and activities so much so that you may even be laughing your guts out just thinking of the fun you and your guests will enjoy. On the other hand, your patience will be sorely tested with the nitty-gritty details of the party like the food, venue and decorations. Well, why focus on the bad when you have the good on your side, too? Think of the one minute party games that are in store for you and your guests to brush away all your worries about the party not being a success. With these one minute games, your party will enjoy more than its 15 minutes of fame. Walk in a Minute This game can have as many players as possible with just a watch with a second hand timer as the only equipment necessary. You may also substitute an egg timer or a stopwatch just as long as these timepieces are set at exactly one minute. The rules of the game are very simple, too. All of the contestants must walk from one end of the room to another - or you may set lines in the room - in exactly one minute. An even pace and constant forward movement must be adopted by all the contestants - anybody caught stopping midway, slowing or speeding up the pace, and reaching the finish line before the time is up are automatically disqualified. The winner is the person closest to the finish line when the host shouts "Stop" in exactly one minute. Print These Party Games To Get the Party Rolling Write Down in a Minute Yet another of the simple but fun one minute party games is writing down objects in particular areas of the house within certain criteria. Again, you can have as many players as possible although it is a good idea to keep your players to a manageable level so as to keep the comparison of answers portion shorter. You have to provide pen and paper to all the participants. Then ask them to write down all the things that they see depending on the set criteria. For example, you may ask the participants to list down all the white objects in the living room but only for one minute. At the end of one minute, the answers will be checked and whoever has the most number of correct items wins the game.
A variation of this game will be showing the participants a variety of objects, either the real ones or just pictures on a tray, for 30 seconds. Then, you will take away the tray and let the participants write down the items within 30 seconds. The winner is, of course, the person with the most number of correct items. These one minute party games will make the party more enjoyable beyond the allotted time. Just make sure that your participants know the rules, possess the right implements and enjoy the games. Now, that is the great side of being a party host!
