Pool Party Games
Pool Party Games for KidsPool party games add the excitement, enjoyment and fun into any kid's party set by the pool. It need not even be a big pool as even a small one will suffice for the purpose just as long as you can get your imagination to work. Plus, you can always modify the staple land-based games for playing the water. Piñata over the Pool The piñata with its bag full of treats from small toys to big candies is a staple in a children's party. Kids have so much fun trying to break open the paper mache made into various shapes to release the goodies inside. Print These Party Games To Get the Party Rolling Well, why not incorporate a piñata into your pool party? You can either let the kids strike the piñata while they are in the water via the traditional method (place a blindfold over the eyes) or let each kid strike the piñata as he/she jumps into the water (no blindfolds on). Think cannonball with a twist. Of course, you want to make sure that each child is protected from harm. So, make sure that the kids are spread a good distance away from the piñata itself. Also, you can substitute the candies with other goodies sealed in waterproof containers while the toys can consist of squirt guns, swimming goggles and sunglasses. You will discover that this is one of the most requested pool party games. A variation of this game would be tossing many treats on the middle of the pool, which is a form of treasure hunt. The kids should stand on either side of the pool and then swim to the middle once you have tossed the treasures. Of course, you have to make sure that only the bigger kids are included in the game.
Crossing the River This game requires mental strategy, physical balance and social teamwork, all of which are hallmarks of a great game loved by parents and children alike. You have to string two ropes across the length of the pool, one for each group of kids. You will then provide each team with rafts preferably an inflatable pool bed, the kind used by adults and kids alike. The objective of the rafts is that it should be something that the kids can float on but is not stable once one stands or sits on it. To start, all the group members will stand on one end of the pool. The first member on the line will literally pull himself towards the other end of the pool and then back again. The second member does the same and so on and so forth until everybody in the group has finished crossing the river, er, pool. You can choose the winner either through who finished the first or what group was the least wet. Again, just like the piñata game, this is one of the most popular of all pool party games. No matter which of the two pool party games you choose, it is important to ensure that the kids are safe. Thus, you must provide for life vests as well as adult supervision in all instances. You want your kids and their guests to have fun in the pool, not subject them to hazards.
